IH 45 TO US 59(N)
Segment G

Segment G is a proposed 13.7 mile four-lane controlled access toll road with intermittent frontage roads from IH 45 (North Freeway) to US 59 (Eastex Freeway) through Harris and Montgomery Counties.

For Segment G, the alternative alignments were developed within the project area to fulfill the need for and purpose of the project, to minimize potential environmental impacts, and to respond to public/landowner and resource agency comments.

Identification of the Recommended Alternative Alignment is based on public and resource agency input, and analysis and comparison of the potential effects on the physical, biological, and human environments of each alternative alignment. The Study Team has prepared the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) that was released in February 2007.

The SH 99 Segment G Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) is available at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) - Houston District Office and on this website as of January 22, 2007. Per 43 TAC 2.43(f)(4)(G),The Public Hearing for the DEIS was held on March 7 and 8, 2007.

Comments for the Segment G DEIS were accepted until April 27, 2007.

Additional information concerning the schedule can be found here.

In response to public and resource agency comments concerning potential cumulative impacts of Segments E, F-1, F-2 and G and the need to assess all four segments as facilities with independent utility and logical termini, the DEIS has been organized in a three-volume set. Volume I of the DEIS includes analyses and results common to all four segments. Volume II provides a detailed assessment of an individual segment relative to the specific study area. Volume III contains Exhibits and Appendices referenced in Volumes I and II of the DEIS.

The Recommended Alternative Alignment is shown below on the map. Click on the individual green squares to view detailed maps of Segment G. These squares indicate the limits of the detailed maps for this segment. Once a square is selected, the detailed map will open in a separate window.
