IH 45(S) to SH 288
Segment B

Segment B is a proposed 28 mile four-lane controlled access toll road with intermittent frontage roads from SH 288 to IH 45 through Brazoria and Galveston Counties.

For Segment B, the alternative alignments were developed within the project area to fulfill the need and purpose of the project, to minimize potential environmental impacts, and to respond to public/landowner and resource agency comments. Identification of the Recommended Alternative Alignment will be based on public and resource agency input, and analysis and comparison of the potential effects on the physical, biological, and human environments of each alternative alignment.

The Study Team has prepared the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) that is scheduled for release in the 4th Quarter of 2008.

Additional information concerning the schedule can be found here.
