US 290 TO SH 249
Segment F-1

Segment F-1 is a proposed 12.0 mile, four-lane, controlled access toll road with intermittent frontage roads from US 290 (Northwest Freeway) to SH 249 (Tomball Parkway) through Harris County.

For Segment F-1, the alternative alignments were developed within the project area to fulfill the purpose of the project, to minimize potential environmental impacts, and to respond to public/landowner and resource agency comments.

A Recommended Alternative Alignment was identified in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS, October 2003). This selection was based on public and resource agency input, and analysis and comparison of the potential effects on the physical, biological, and human environments of each alternative alignment.

The Preferred Alternative Alignment is shown below on the map. Click on the individual purple squares to view detailed maps of Segment F-1. These squares indicate the limits of the detailed maps for this segment. Once a square is selected, the detailed map will open in a separate window. The detailed maps are large files and may take a few minutes to download depending on the speed of your internet connection. Once in the detailed maps, use the zoom button in the toolbar to view the maps at 100% of their original size.
