Segment G is a proposed 13.7-mile,four-lane,controlled access toll road with intermittent frontage roads from IH 45(N) (North Freeway) to US 59(N) (Eastex Freeway) through Harris and Montgomery Counties.

For Segment G, the alternative alignments were developed within the project area to fulfill the need for and purpose of the project, to minimize potential environmental impacts, and to respond to public/landowner and resource agency comments.

Identification of the Recommended Alternative Alignment is based on public and resource agency input, and analysis and comparison of the potential effects on the physical, biological, and human environments of each alternative alignment. The Study Team has prepared the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) that was released in February 2007.
