Segments H & I-1

Segment H & I-1 is a proposed 37-mile, four-lane, controlled access toll road with intermittent frontage roads from US 59 (N) to IH 10 (E) through Montgomery, Harris, Liberty, and Chamber Counties.

For Segments H & I-1, the alternative alignments were developed within the project area to fulfill the need for and purpose of the project, to minimize potential environmental impacts, and to respond to public/landowner and resource agency comments.

Notice of Availability of the Segment H & I-1 DEIS in the Texas Register Notice of Availability for Segment H & I-1 (June 15, 2011).

The Segment H & I-1 Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) was signed by the Federal Highway Administration on May 10, 2011 and was published in the State and Federal Registers on June 15, 2011 and June 24, 2011 respectively. The comment period will end September 21, 2011.
